Toolbox Training

Documentation Skills for Foster Parents

One of the challenges facing all foster parents is knowing when, how, and what to document regarding the children in their care.  This introductory training focuses on the essential content of foster parents’ notes and records.  While a variety of forms are shown, emphasis at this training is on the content, not the format, of documentation.  This is an interactive, hands-on workshop at which participants will have an opportunity to review a variety of documentation styles and practice documentation skills in small groups.  This workshop is appropriate for all foster parents and may be particularly useful to those foster parents who find keeping those journals and records to be a challenge.
