Supporting the Work of Reunification

Reunification of children with their families of origin
whenever possible is the primary mandate of DHHS. Through lecture, case studies,
role-plays and discussion, the role of the foster parent in the reunification
process will be explored. Expectations will be examined from the points of view
of the foster parent, birth parent, and foster and birth child(ren). The role of
the foster parent during visitation and Family Team Meetings (FTM) will be
explored.
