The Child
Welfare Training Institute is a part of the
Edmund S.
Muskie School of Public Service at the
University of
Southern Maine. CWTI is located in Augusta and is part of
the Muskie School’s
Institute for Public Sector Innovation. Since 1989, the
Child Welfare Training Institute (CWTI) has maintained a
Cooperative Agreement with the
Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS) of the
Maine Department of Health and Human Services.
The mission
of CWTI is to enhance the professional development and
organizational effectiveness of state and community child
welfare providers and caregivers in order to improve the quality
of services delivered to the children and families of Maine.
CWTI
activities include a wide range of training and educational
outreach programs, organizational development activities, policy
analysis and development, strategic planning and the creation of
customized training and information systems. |
